Who’s ready for Super Bowl Sunday this weekend? Although the game will be here in our city this year, we don’t quite have $11K+ to shell out for tickets, so we’ll most likely be watching from home, which is just fine by me. This is my first year getting into football but know what I’m an expert at? Eating. And if I also have to cook, I prefer quick and easy recipes. Here are four easy recipes for you to whip up for the Super Bowl that’ll make you the hostess with the mostest:
Pepperoni Pizza Sliders
These sliders are quick and easy to throw together, making them a perfect appetizer. They’re loaded with gooey cheese and pepperoni and topped with seasoned Parmesan butter. This recipe is packed with flavor and is sure to be a crowd-pleaser.

INGREDIENTS
- 1 package of Hawaiian sweet rolls
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 6 oz package of pepperoni
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ¼ cup butter, melted
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp dried basil
- ½ tsp dried oregano
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a 9×13 pan.
- Cut the rolls in half and place the bottom half in the pan.
- Spread the pasta sauce to the bottom half of the rolls.
- Layer the pepperoni over the pasta sauce and sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Place the top half of the rolls back on top.
- In a bowl, combine the Parmesan cheese, melted butter, garlic powder, dried basil, and dried oregano. Brush over the top of the rolls.
- Cover pan with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 5 minutes.
Walking Tacos
A taco in a bag of Doritos. Genius, right? You can also switch it up and use Cool Ranch Doritos or Fritos. Customizable to everyone’s taste and with minimal cleanup, they’re the perfect way to feed a crowd.

INGREDIENTS
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 packet of taco seasoning
- 10 individual serving bags of Doritos
- 8 oz shredded iceberg lettuce
- 8 oz shredded cheese
- 8 oz sour cream
DIRECTIONS
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef and add taco seasoning (follow the directions on the back of the packet).
- Crush the bag of Doritos and cut along the side, so it’s boat-shaped for easier access to dig in.
- Layer with ground beef, lettuce, cheese, and sour cream.
Bacon Wrapped Smokies
I’ve made these for Super Bowl parties, and everyone gobbled them right up! The secret is the sweet brown sugar compliments the salty bacon and savory smokies. Not to mention that these are one of the easiest appetizers that you can make.

INGREDIENTS
- 12 oz package Lit’l Smokies
- 12 oz package of bacon
- ¾ cup brown sugar
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
- Cut each bacon slice evenly into three pieces.
- Wrap each bacon piece around a smoky and secure it with a toothpick.
- Place all in a single layer on a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
- Sprinkle brown sugar evenly over the bacon-wrapped smokies.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes.
Honey Garlic Buffalo Wings
Brett regularly these wings for football Sundays. While these still have a little kick, the honey and brown sugar add some sweetness and help cool it down. These are finger-lickin’ good, so I recommend multiplying this recipe as needed.

INGREDIENTS
- 2 pounds wings
- 1½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ⅛ tsp pepper
- ½ cup buffalo sauce
- ⅓ cup honey
- ⅛ cup brown sugar
- 1½ tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1½ tsp cornstarch
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
- Add the wings, baking powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper into a Ziploc bag. Shake to coat evenly and then place on aluminum foil.
- Bake for 45 minutes.
- Right before the wings are done, add the buffalo sauce, honey, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and cornstarch into a medium saucepan. Whisk on medium heat until it’s thickened (about 4 minutes)—baste on wings.
