The Best Avocado Toast With Egg

Brett made this the other day, and I immediately knew I wanted to share it because it was so good, not to mention how quick and easy it is to whip up. It’s the perfect breakfast with carbs, protein, and good fats. Today I’m sharing the best avocado toast with egg recipe.

This recipe is customizable to your taste. You can choose whatever bread you like; we typically buy whole wheat bread. Also, you can make the eggs however you like — boiled, fried, or scrambled. We slice the avocado, but you can mash it — make sure to do it in a bowl. However, I strongly recommend buttering the bread and seasoning, making this next level. Now you’ll never have to spend $15 on avocado toast at brunch ever again!

Avocado Toast Ingredients

This avocado toast recipe is for a single serving, and you can substitute any of the ingredients or add other toppings.

  • Bread — We prefer whole wheat, but you can use any bread you like.
  • Avocado — Make sure they’re ripe and then mash or slice.
  • Egg — You can make the eggs however you like: boiled, fried, poached, or scrambled.
  • Seasonings — I strongly recommend Everything but the Bagel Sesame Seasoning, or you can add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Additions — Depending on how you cook your eggs, you may need a little butter, and I like to butter my toast regardless. You can also add sriracha to spice it up!

I love avocado on toast. It’s my go-to lunch for work, so healthy and easy. I have to try it with egg though because that sounds extra delicious. We don’t have Everything But The Bagel seasoning in Australia. I’m dying to try it!!

I love this! Avacado toast has become my go to breakfast in 2022 to manage some health concerns I have. I love the classic Everything flavor, and recently have been experimenting with flavored sea salts. My favorites have been lime and siracha! So tasty!
