Happy Wednesday, friends! I hope you’ve had a great start to 2022. This month has been exciting for this blog; I have a couple of collaborations I cannot wait to share in a couple of months — follow me on Instagram to be the first to know. Also, I just got accepted into LTK, and I’d love it if you gave me a follow over there. In the meantime, I’m linking up with Sheaffer and Shay, where we share what’s up with us this month.
What we’ve been eating: Did you catch my avocado toast with egg recipe that I shared last week? It’s all I want for breakfast these days. To see more of what I’m cooking lately, follow my Pinterest board, where I save many of our favorites.
What I’m reminiscing about: I’m already reminiscing about our annual trip to Flagstaff for Valentine’s Day. It was lowkey and relaxing, a nice change from our usual trips. I planned to write a recap but decided to enjoy our getaway and not worry about documenting everything.
What I’m loving: I’ve wanted to develop a better morning routine for a while now, and I recently read and loved The Miracle Morning. I love how it can be six minutes or sixty minutes and adaptable to your schedule. I’ll share a full review in a future book review.
What we’ve been up to: We got a couples massage over the weekend, which was glorious. They served us breakfast with mimosas and chocolate-covered strawberries afterward. If you’re ever visiting Scottsdale, I highly recommend New Serenity Spa.
What I’m dreading: Upper management requested that we all return to the office two days a week, so yesterday was my first day back. Working from home was an adjustment, but now I dread returning to the office.
What I’m working on: I just sent out my second newsletter earlier this week. If you haven’t, I would love for you to subscribe, so you don’t miss next month’s! Also, if you have any specific requests, please feel free to leave them in the comments or email me.
What I’m excited about: Our builder said it generally takes 5-8 weeks to see framing begin; however, several crews are working on our street right now, and they will probably start much sooner than usual. I popped over this past weekend, and everyone was out working; it seems like so much has happened around our neighborhood since we were there two weeks ago. They’ve been killing it, and I’m enthusiastic that we’re ahead of schedule in today’s market.
What I’m watching/reading: We’re about to finish Catching Killers on Netflix, and then I want to finish season 2 of Ted Lasso. As for what I’m reading, I’m currently reading The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks. Also, I recently shared another book review with some great reads.
What I’m listening to: When I’m not in the mood to listen to a podcast (almost caught up on Dateline), I’ve been listening to this morning coffee playlist that I recently found. I love discovering new favorites through random playlists.
What I’m wearing: Although I don’t miss all the time I spend getting ready and commuting, the one thing I’m excited about returning to the office is pulling out my work clothes. I love a good work outfit that makes me feel powerful, haha.
What I’m doing this weekend: Brett has to work on Saturday, but we’re planning to drive out to check on the house again on Sunday. It’ll probably be a low-key weekend at home with maybe a brunch or dinner date.
What I’m looking forward to next month: There are quite a few fun things we have already planned for March. I’m excited about the Glass Animals concert that got rescheduled, and Brett also bought us tickets to Harlem Globetrotters.
As always, thanks for stopping by and supporting my blog. What’s been up with you this month? Let me know in the comments! xo

A couples massage followed by mimosas sounds amazing! Great idea for a date 🙂
I love the style of your post! How you let everyone know what you have been doing in life, breaking it down by mixing business with pleasure. Thank you for sharing!
Avocado toast has been my husband and I’s latest obsession, it’s so good! Also, I love your blouse and need to know where you got it 🙂
Unfortunately, it’s old from Abercrombie & Fitch. Here are two I found that are similar: here and here! xo

How exciting to see things being ahead of schedule! That rarely happens with building (in any market).

Thanks for sharing your reading recommendation. the Morning Routine book looks like a good one to add to my reading list!
How fun about your house!! An exciting summer ahead for sure :). I feel the same about returning to work — I miss the social atmosphere of it (and, yes, the clothes) but the “getting ready” part. . .who knew, right?
Have a great weekend!
