How is it almost April? Time indeed, seems to speed up as we get older. This month has been a blur, but I’m linking up with Sheaffer and Shay for What’s Up Wednesday today, where we share what’s been up with us.
What we’ve been eating: In case you missed it, I shared some of my Trader Joe’s favorites a couple of weeks ago. Also, Brett recently made Croque Madame Breakfast Pizza from this cookbook. We went from never making pizza at home to making it a new staple. The garlic & herb pizza dough from Trader Joe’s is so delicious!
What I’m reminiscing about: After seeing what seems like everyone on my Instagram feed jetting off somewhere with their kids this month, I miss having spring break. So here is a throwback to a spring break trip I took to NYC a few years ago (excuse my poor old iPhone quality).
What I’m loving: I’m pretty low maintenance when it comes to my hair; it’s been years since I’ve colored it. I got my hair cut and colored earlier this month, and it was just a much-needed hair refresh.
What we’ve been up to: My company had Family Day this past weekend, and we had a great time having lunch and walking around. Typically, visitors aren’t allowed in unless there’s a business reason, so it was fun to show Brett my office.
What I’m dreading: I have a dentist appointment Friday morning. Need I say more?
What I’m working on: I’ve been trying to finalize our itinerary for our Colorado road trip in a few weeks. We’re going to Breckenridge, Golden, and Boulder — please share any recommendations with me in the comments! If you want to follow all the fun, follow me on Instagram.
What I’m excited about: While we’re in Colorado, there’s a media event to celebrate a new partnership that I’ll be attending. It’s my first event to participate as a blogger, and I’m so excited (and a little nervous!).
What I’m watching/reading: We just finished Dopesick on Hulu, which was so good. As for what I’m reading, I just finished reading Jar of Hearts by Jennifer Hillier. Also, I recently shared another book review with some great reads.
What I’m listening to: Glennon Doyle’s podcast We Can Do Hard Things. I’m diversifying from my usual true crime podcasts, and I love it so far. I always learn something even when I don’t think the episode will apply to me (I prefer to listen to episodes in chronological order).
What I’m wearing: Currently, I’m trying to get all my outfits together for our trip. One way I limit overpacking is to plan my ensembles rather than throwing everything into my suitcase and figuring it out when I get to my destination. This cute and comfy outfit is perfect for working out, sitting in cars for long periods, and running errands. I plan on sharing more looks, so follow me on LTK.
Jacket | Tank Top | Leggings | Shoes
What I’m doing this weekend: Besides my dentist appointment, I plan to swing by the house. Even though I’m not expecting much change, I love driving through the neighborhood. Also, we have dinner reservations at Blanco (our first time).
What I’m looking forward to next month: Brett lost the March Madness bracket (second year in a row), so he’ll be taking me out to dinner again. Oh, and it’s my birthday month — I’m so excited to see what 26 holds!
As always, thanks for stopping by. What’s up with you this month? Let me know in the comments! xo
Love the hair refresh!! Congrats on the blogger event- cant wait to hear about it!
It is so true that life seems to speed up as you get older. I like the way you broke the things going on in your life into nice succinct nuggets.
Best of luck at the dentist and I hope you have a wonderful trip.
Oooo happy birthday month! 🙂

We went to NYC for our March Break and we had a crazy shake and it was so good! Enjoy Colorado — I’ve never been and would love to visit. And I hope your dentist appointment went well.
Love this! Dope sick was a wonderful show to watch and so educational as well. I’ve also been on a podcast kick! Going from crime to self-help and helpful podcasts. Check out Brene Brown as well!!
